This painting is based on a photo I made in a restaurant. There were purple / greyish hydrangeas in a silver vase and these cool colours looked really lovely together. Oil on oil paper, 18cm x 24cm.
There is an antiques shop that I often pass on my way and it has a wonderful Japanese gold leaf screen in it that I admire every time. Today I thought I would try making something with a similar idea. I took acrylic gold paint for the background and oil paints for the rest. Canvas board 30cm x 40cm.
I photographed this parrot made of some almost translucent pink stone or crystal on a stroll through the Vienna first district. Oil on paper, 7″ x 10″.
This is not just any hand, this is my own hand as I am trying to paint it. I am quite content with my very first try to paint any human body part. Oil on paper, 7″ x 10″.
